Introduction to the Karline digital panoramic camera of Dr Clauss, Germany
At Photokina 2000 and again at Photokina 2002 we saw the nice panoramic and turntable photography system of Dr Clauss Bild- und Datentechnik, GmbH. These are scientific cameras, but with Germanic precision. File size is moderate, and thus so is the price.
Dr Clauss also offers a turntable system for circumferential rollouts. However at present it works only on European 220 current.
So far I don't know of any of these cameras in the US, nor any distributor here, but since FLAAR has many connections in Germany, we might consider trying out this system at our university in the US.
