DSLR video camera reviews (HDSLR cameras with video capability)Canon + Nikon + etc, HDSLR video camera reviews But now NOVOFLEX and other manufacturers are getting into this growing market (for support rigs). Since I come from the world of still photography, I prefer not to shoot walking around (though I realize this effect is essential for some aspects of video). Nonetheless, I prefer video shot from a sturdy tripod, where Gitzo gets my vote. Next step is to find the best tripod head: Manfrotto, Gitzo and a dozen other brands make professional level video heads. And of course now the Chinese offer knock-offs. However the cheap video head we bought fell to pieces after several months. If you buy a cheap brand or a cheap model even from a good brand, you can expect it will break, wear out, or some part will fall off. I have experience with tripods and tripod heads, but my next challenge is to find appropriate lighting, since usually we are deep in the rain forests. The high trees provide so much shade that on the jungle floor it is quite dark. Same out in the mangrove swamps; often it is quite dark deep into the swamps. Not much electricity out here either. So we are still looking for adequate lighting which is also portable. The advantage of having FLAAR reviews of digital video via DSLR digital cameras is that we are not from the cinema industry. So we will have the same innocent questions as other still photographers who now see all the potential with DSLR video. We now have several Canon EOS cameras and one Nikon camera which can do video. So our next step is to acquire the equipment items one by one, so we can write our evaluations. These reviews will save thousands of end-users trial and error
